I’ve been rearranging rooms since I could reach the furniture. As a kid, I built tiny homes for my cabbage patch babies and whole villages in the woods. By high school, my “design projects” mostly involved trying to make my room feel new again after being grounded — which was often, thanks to joy-rides in my parents’ car and a knack for getting caught sneaking out. Somewhere between all the rearranging and rebelling, I realized that changing the energy of a space could change how I felt inside it.
Life gave me plenty of practice — from rentals with peeling linoleum and mystery stains to fixer-uppers with more history than wiring. No matter where I lived, I found ways to make each space feel like home. Because sacred doesn’t mean perfect or Pinterest-ready. It means aligned. It means the room breathes with you.
Aligned Designs grew out of that knowing — that our homes are mirrors for our inner world. Sometimes all it takes is fresh paint, new light, or moving the couch to the other wall to remind the house (and ourselves) what we’re here for. When a space reflects your truth, it hums at the frequency of home — and that’s where healing begins.
